What to bring on a Safari
Essentials
- A valid passport
- Valid visa (if required)
- One other picture ID (e.g. driver’s lisence)
- Photocopy of passport page
- Air tickets
- Expenses money
- Travel insurance (complete this before taking a safari)
- Sunscreen, moisturizer, lip balm and good quality sunglasses (The African sun is harsh!)
- Toilet kit including shampoo and soap and large towel and washcloth, thin and quick-drying
- Insect repellent
- Small personal first aid kit
- Aspirin for mild pain or headache

- Binoculars
- Paperback reading & writing material
- Snacks
- Wool or leather gloves, down vest or jacket if you really feel cold
